Family photos. Champion interviews. Vehicle reveals. RRVI kicked off at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca with an impressive start. On the track, historic vehicles revved their engines on familiar terrain. Before and after their track time, Legends and Champions alike greeted and mingled with fans. At the paddock, the four-day celebration began with a ceremonious keg tap performed by Porsche AG and PCNA executives. Following the welcome, guests witnessed the reveal of two vehicles: the Porsche 911 Speedster Concept and the new Porsche 935.

The Porsche 911 Speedster Concept received an enthusiastic U.S. debut at its third public appearance. Based on the current 991 generation, the 911 Speedster Concept leverages distinctive themes and colors from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s.

The new 935 is a modern recreation of the famous "Moby Dick" that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1979. To celebrate 70 years, a spectacular race car as a birthday present from Porsche Motorsport to the fans all over the world.

A blanket of fog didn't stop the second day of RRVI of beginning with an exciting start. Cup cars cut through the grey landscape - their engine revs heard before their headlights peered through the dense fog. As the cloud cover lifted, the Porsche Club of America gathered for a parade lap of customer vehicles mid-day. Dr. Porsche proudly took to the track after lunch to let the tires of the 356 “No. 1” Roadster grip the pavement.

As dusk began to settle in on Leguna Seca, RRVI attendees were surprised with the Rennsport Celebration Concert on the main stage. Performers included Seal and Bob Weir and a house band made up of members of Tom Petty and the Heartbreaks, The Strokes and Weezer.

Yes, you saw that correctly - those were tractors on the course at WeatherTech Raceway Leguna Seca. For the first time in Rennsport history, the race cars took a break on the track to give Porsche tractors a moment in the spotlight. A dozen tractors took a lap on the famed raceway following a traditional Le Mans start.

The third day of RRVI saw many interactions between fans, Champion and Legend drivers. One of the more unique interactions occurred at an autograph session, where an attendee asked drivers to sign his leg around his tattoo of a Porsche crest. Leave your autograph books at home!
