Irish Green, Speed Yellow, Riviera Blue. They’re not just colors, they’re dreams made real. At one time or another, they’ve all adorned Porsche sports cars. Color, you could say, plays as prominent a role in the Porsche story as the cars themselves. In fact, through the Porsche Paint to Sample program, Porsche owners can express their individuality using our pallet of 180 Porsche colors. Unmistakable hues that have been turning heads for decades, and the only place you could find them was on a Porsche – until now.

In celebration of 75 years of dreaming in color, Porsche is collaborating with the bespoke paint company Backdrop to bring iconic Porsche colors from the road to your home for the first time ever. The four limited-edition housepaint colors have been shortlisted from the 75th anniversary color palate and are now available for you to use as your imagination sees fit. From Irish Green, to Ruby Star, to Speed Yellow, and even Riviera Blue, each color played a role in Porsche history.

Irish Green, first seen in 1964 on a 356C sports car, is also one of the first colors to grace the Porsche 911. It’s a color as timeless as the sports car itself. Speed Yellow first appeared on the Porsche 911 in 1991. Not for the shy or Sunday driver, the vibrant color is distinctly tied to the sports car and the Porsche brand. Ruby Star dates back to 1991 and has been seen on Porsche 911, 928 and 944 models over the years. It’s a deep magenta red that is distinct, bold and joyous. Riviera Blue is an electric bright blue established in 1994. The head-turning and audacious color was seen on the Porsche 911, 928 and 968.
